Design Process
A Pre-Registered member of the Society of Garden Designers.
Working to a strict accreditation process to ensure you have the very best garden design.
Starting with an initial consultation and site visit we can assess your garden and all your needs as well as the things you don’t want!
Each garden is designed individually whatever the style required.
The process for a full design will be managed in several steps:
An initial consultation and a site visit
We see the garden as it is, and then talk through any ideas and requirements that you may have. This will help to create an agreed client brief.
A site survey/analysis
A survey of your existing garden and features is necessary to produce an accurate design of your new garden.
Concept design/masterplan/construction drawings
Now the fun part. Concept ideas can now be produced both in plan form and 2D/3D to give you an idea of how your garden could look and a chance for any changes necessary before completing a masterplan and any construction drawings needed for a contractor to quote and build the garden. Suggestions for planting style and variety’s will also be made at this stage.
Project monitoring
Once a contractor has been appointed and the build starts, we can monitor the build to make sure everything is going to plan and successfully built before planting. This will generally consist of site visits during the build.
Planting plan
A full planting plan will be created, listing plant varieties / numbers and locations of where plants are to go.
Aftercare and Maintenance
We can supply a care package to help you maintain your garden so it evolves and grows successfully in the years to come. This might be written instruction, on-site training visits with you or your existing gardener, or even help to find a gardener.
